The Most Effective Homeopathic Cures for Acid Reflux

Acid reflux is a condition that occurs when the lower esophageal sphincter opens up spontaneously, and as a result allows contents from the stomach to be able to make their way back up into the esophagus. When acid reflux occurs the person is usually able to taste food or fluid in the back of their mouth, and typically will experience discomfort or pain in their stomach and chest area.

Diagnosis is the first step in treating acid reflux, and so you will need to get in to see your doctor to get their opinion and for a proper diagnosis. Once you have been diagnosed your doctor will begin to discuss with you the various different treatment methods that you can choose from.

Homeopathic Cures for Acid Reflux

Of course there are the standard, more conventional methods of treatment for acid reflux, but there are also many homeopathic cures for acid reflux that you can choose to use. The first place you should start is with your diet and making any changes where necessary.

You should be eating as many fresh fruits and vegetables as you can, as well as whole grain breads and cereals and other foods that are high in fiber.

One of the best homeopathic cures for acid reflux is apple cider vinegar. Inexpensive and easy to take, apple cider vinegar is one of the oldest tricks in the book. It can also help with weight loss, constipation and heartburn.

Benefits

There are many benefits that are offered by the homeopathic cures for acid reflux. For one, because prescription medications can often have unwanted effects, people who want to avoid these unfavorable symptoms now have the option of using homeopathic cures for acid reflux which are side effect and symptom free.

If you are not sure which particular homeopathic remedy to try, speak to your doctor for more information or even better to a homeopathic medicine expert who will be able to discuss your options with you and, after completing a proper assessment, help you to decide which particular treatment they think would be the most successful.

Acid reflux can definitely be a serious and intensely painful condition, and often sufferers feel helpless because they try one method after the other and nothing seems to work. With homeopathic remedies you may actually have more luck than with the more conventional treatments, and not only that but you also will not have to deal with any unfavorable side effects.

Does apple cider vinegar help with weight loss or maintenance?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

yes, when used properly. vinegar helps to reduce the glycemic response to a high carbohydrate meal. the rate at which a food item raises blood sugar levels is called the glycemic index (GI). when blood sugar rises to rapidly there is a related insulin response. Insulin is a storage hormone used to metabolize nutrients and in essence "push" them into skeletal muscle.

by decreasing the GI of a meal thus lowering the related insulin response the "potential" for fat storage from a high carb meal is decreased.

The Glycemic Index:

Vegetarian Recipes l Lentil Walnut Veggie Burgers

Friday, January 29th, 2010

How to make Lentil Walnut Veggie Burgers Video. Veggie Burgers are a nutritional alternative to beef burgers. Many people don’t think of making their own veggie burgers but they are really easy to make at home. Store bought veggie burgers are nutritional but often very high in sodium and preservatives. You can substitute the eggs in this recipe with “flax eggs” which are a mix of 6 tbsp ground flax to 2 tbsp boiling water. The milk in this recipe can be substituted with either soya milk or rice milk. This makes the recipe completely vegan!
Lentils are high in fiber which makes them a good protector against bowel cancer. I recommend organic, low sodium lentils if you are buying canned. They are an excellent source of protein and are an important source of B vitamins, especially B3, which is essential for both a healthy nervous system and digestive system. They are high in iron, zinc and calcium and are a good replacement for red meat. Like meat, the iron in lentils is better absorbed when they are eaten with a good source of vitamin C like leafy green vegetables.
Walnuts are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, a special type of fat that is essential for our bodies, but that the body cannot produce.
(Re omega 3 see also http://flaxseeds.blogspot.com )
Walnuts are also a very good source of monounsaturated fats.
Walnuts contain many powerful antioxidants, including ellagic and gallic acids, pus antioxidant phenols and vitamin E. The minerals copper and manganese are also found in abundance in these tasty nuts.

Does apple cider vinegar really result in weight loss?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

I have heard that apple cider vinegar has many health benefits, one of these including benefits is gradual weight loss. Does it really work or has anyone attempted it? For example adding 1 or 2 teaspoon of ACV to a glass of water before each meal? If so what were your results and do you recommend this theory? Thank you

I have a friend that drinks a shot glass full each day and he says he lost two belt sizes in three months. He can actually fit into his pants he wore years ago, now.

I only drink drink a tablespoon or two a day for my health but it has not made me lose weight.

The reason it works is because it makes your stomach an acidic environment and your body alkaline. Most Americans at least have a diet with large amounts of meat and fast foods with preservatives in them. When that food hits the gut it just sits there… With no acid to burn the food… our body becomes a toxic dump… Apple Cider Vinegar helps break down the food and balances the body… therefore enhancing one’s digestion…

ACV is the cheapest way I know how to keep the doctors at bay and stay healthy… With larger doses… maybe even lose some weight…

If you can drink apple cider vinegar in water then great but I make my own concoction byt mixing 4 parts apple juice, 4 parts grape, black berry, pomegranate juice or some other strong juice and 1 part apple cider vinegar.

I sometimes add a dash of cayenne and cinnamon to change it up and make it even better for me… Try what you can tolerate and if you work up to enough to make a difference and you can stand it… then you may very well lose weight…

The main thigh though is to go slow and work your way up… You might even start with half of a teaspoon a day in juice and later switch to water and acv… One good tip is to drink it about ten minutes before you eat… this will help reduce your need for alarge portions of food…

I would also suggest drinking a large glass of distilled water with a tiny dash of sea salt for improved digestion… I hope this helpos…

apple cider vinegar for weight loss?

Monday, January 25th, 2010

i have been using apple cider vinegar for weight loss but i am not sure if i am using the right one. i been using a supermarket one which is naturally fermented and that’s the only ones i can find here, i can’t find any with the mother. is it ok?

Any kind of Apple Cider Vinegar will be beneficial but ACV with the mother is the best because the enzymes are not distilled out of it. You can get ACV with the mother from any health food store.

I have a friend who takes a shot glass of ACV each day to lose weight. He went down two belt sizes. I can’t drink that much so I have not lost any weight. If you do try ACV with the mother, you can make it taste better by mixing it in a shot glass with grape juice and or apple juice.

I would also suggest adding a tiny dash of cinnamon and cayenne.

Ketosis weight loss diet for vegetarians?

Monday, January 18th, 2010

I am trying to start a ketosis diet to lose weight but I am a vegetarian. What are some good foods that I could eat? I read egg whites and cheese are good and protein powder, but no nuts. My main protein income is usually nuts and beans. Are beans still ok? And it says to up the fat intake. I only get about 5% of the daily fat as it is and barley lose weight. Uping the fat doens’t make sense.. How would that help me lose weight? I do not want to take meds or anything to induce ketosis.

Beans are too high in carbs to throw you into ketosis (unless you’re hardcore at working out).

Some foods you should stock up on are… (in net carbs)
- Macadamias (1.5 for 12 nuts)
- Yves veg hot dogs (~2 per dog)
- Firm tofu (7/100 g)
- Almonds (2.5 for 23 nuts
- Edamame (10 for 1 cup shelled)

Any hard cheese is fine; just have one thumb sized stick of it max per day. Also, whole eggs are less than 1 carb per egg. Meat analogues tend to be good choices, too, just read the labels carefully.

Fat – the fat satisfies your hunger and keeps up your calories – you’re not trying for starvation. Also, you’re trying to convert from carbs as your energy source to fat burning.
