Is there a website or two where I can find lists of earth friendly companies that produce everyday products?

May 5, 2010 - 6:30 pm No Comments

I’m trying my best (step by step) to live as environmentally friendly as possible. I’m wondering what the great companies are out there (mind you, i live in po-dunk nowhere currently, so i don’t have access to much), and also what the bad ones are that i should avoid. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Being a Brit, I had no idea where Po-dunk was, LOL, what a great expression, so thanks, I learned something new today.

As well as buying products online, some sites below try to look for products which are produced locally, or as local as your location provides, the further a product has travelled to reach you the less eco friendly it is.

Do you have local farmers markets, local companies and businesses should be chosen if possible. this not only reduces the carbon footprint of the product but keeps money within your local community.

Do a search to see if their are any evironmental groups in your area, they often have information of this kind relevant to where you live.

My family and I use Melaleuca products – they are eco-friendly, very effective and economical and they deliver to your home! I have tried many green companies and this is the best that I have found. We have eliminated caustic chemicals and phosphates from our cleaning supplies and the toxins that were in our personal care products. You would be very pleased with these products!
