Is the Inland Empire, CA ready for an Organic/Vegan/Living Foods cafe?

I think some farms there are already going organic so a food place serving local organic harvest/produce might do ok. I am just not sure about a purely vegan restaurant though. You might want to consider having a "mixed" theme meaning serving local organic vegan food side by side with organic but "regular" stuff.

Think about it this way, if you can get some "regular" folks interested and curious about organic foods and they liked it, they might be tempted to go vegan too.

    Nope.

Depending on where you live, vegitarian might survive, but purely vegan won’t,

A lot of veggies don’t like vegan food, and omni’s, well given the choice I doubt a lot would choose to go to your place, when they could choose to go somewhere else with cheese.

Why should ppl choose to go where you own?

Do you honestly think there are enough ppl who would go there regularly to keep you in business?

Vegan only is far too much of a nieche to provide a regular income.

Veggie might do okay, possibly, but with the credit crunch on ppl are spending a lot less money on luxuries such as meals out.

All organic meals are going to be so expensive.

Sorry, but I just don’t think it will work realiastically.

I know of a few vegans in the Inland Empire who are constantly bemoaning the lack of options, so maybe. I don’t know enough about the market there, though. Maybe work up a sample menu and then do some on-the-street market research to see how people in your area react to the menu/concept.
