It is so important to rinse your Quinoa prior to cooking. We also add a little dash of olive oil at the end to also give it a little flavor kick and to keep the kernels kind of individuated. Keep at it, the next time will be perfect!

Quinoa is the plant that fueled the Incas and Mayans for centuries. It’s so packed with protein and although cooks up like a pasta, it’s truly a super food. You can also go savory or sweet with quinoa, using a little organic maple syrup, raisins and other fruits it makes a wonderful dessert or snack.

I never knew of this plant until this video. I never intend on going full vegan, but learning how to prepare foods that do not contain meat are very important since meat and animal products are best consumed in moderation. I love the versatility of this plant and will surely grow it when I start my own garden. Thanks again for another wonderful recipe.
